Johns Hopkins Department of Anesthesiology and Critical Care Medicine (ACCM) is a microcosm of all that is best in a world-class medical system. It recruits talented clinicians and faculty, then explores and unearths their capabilities, aspirations, and innovations. A departmental funding engine propels their ideas with an explosive energy, and becomes a catalyst to new research, processes and practices, translational medicine, and improved patient care.
The program is so singularly successful that in March 2020 it was designated the No. 1 anesthesiology program, for the second year in a row, in U.S. News & World Report's medical school specialty rankings.
