In 1964, the great American singer and songwriter, Bob Dylan, released his song titled “The Times They Are A Changin’ ”:
Come gather ‘round people, wherever you roam
And admit that the waters around you have grown
And accept it that soon you’ll be drenched to the bone.
If your time to you is worth savin’
Then you better start swimmin’ or you’ll sink like a stone
For the times they are a-changin’.
While the lyrics of this song and many others written by this musical visionary became anthems reflecting a wide range of political, social and philosophical influences of the times, they remain relevant today and can be related to a much broader perspective.
