The National Anesthesia Clinical Outcomes Registry (NACOR) has long been the Anesthesia Quality Institute’s tool to collect data from anesthesia practices to help advance the science of anesthesia and ensure vigilant patient care.
Anesthesia practices use NACOR every day to access their own data, as well as national benchmarks to facilitate local quality improvement by tracking trends in performance. The data warehouse is designated as a Qualified Registry and Qualified Clinical Data Registry by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services for Quality Payment Program reporting requirements.
The data from NACOR is becoming even more valuable in the academic world, as data from the registry are being used to support clinical studies, develop best practices and identify trends that may impact patient care. With 60 million total cases added to the registry since it debuted in 2010, NACOR is propelling scientific advancement and improvement in the quality of care.
