The strength of ASA is in our members, and it is through membership and engaged members that ASA supports each of us in improving our practices, advancing our profession and developing solutions for our health delivery system.
Our ASA Mission, “Advancing the Practice and Securing the Future,” is now clarified by the ASA Vision established earlier this year, “A world leader improving health through innovation in quality and safety,” and is supported by three values: “Patient Safety, Physician-led Care and Scientific Discovery.” These three elements, Mission, Vision and Values, in turn drive development of our ASA strategy and inform development of strategic priorities, organizational goals and objectives – resultant workstreams are designed to produce benefits for members and develop shared value in membership.
