The need for physician leadership in health care has never been greater. And there might be no better time than now to find ASA resources that can help you on your own leadership journey.
One of the most anticipated events to emerge from recent collaborations between ASA and the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE) is the “ASA/ACHE Panel: Strengthening Physician Leadership Through Synergistic Partnerships.”
The talk will be led by 2018 ASA President James D. Grant, M.D., M.B.A., FASA, and Charles (Chuck) D. Stokes, M.H.A., FACHE, who currently serves as ACHE Immediate Past Chairman and President and CEO of Memorial Hermann Health System in Houston. Dr. Grant has been a driving force behind ASA’s recent initiatives to nurture meaningful physician leadership in health care and beyond. Mr. Stokes is a highly respected industry veteran whose leadership at Memorial Hermann has helped it become perennially recognized as one of the nation’s most successful Accountable Care Organizations. Chuck has served on the ACHE Board of Governors for four years and has served as ACHE faculty for 10 years prior to coming on the board. ACHE has more than 48,000 members, and physicians are the fastest growing segment of the organization.
