ANESTHESIOLOGY® 2018, to be held in San Francisco from October 13-17, will bridge research and technology with patient care while offering the opportunity to interact with more than 14,000 peers and leaders from more than 80 countries. The ASA annual meeting provides recent graduates the opportunity to engage in a world-class event, develop a depth of knowledge in this multifaceted specialty and expand professional networks. This year’s theme is “The Future Starts Here.” This article will help the early-career physician navigate ANESTHESIOLOGY® 2018 to take advantage of all that is offered. Elizabeth Rebello, M.D., FASA, who chairs two ASA committees, stated, “It is never too early to start thinking about your career and to take advantage of the many educational, networking and leadership opportunities offered at the ASA annual meeting. Attending this meeting paves the path to achieve all that you aspire to.”
