The American Society of Regional Anesthesia and Pain Medicine (ASRA) is a vibrant, growing society of more than 4,900 physicians and health care providers from across the U.S. and the world. Since coming under self-management in 2015, ASRA has experienced a remarkable growth in membership and programming, and we continue to build on that growth with the development of many exciting projects and resources to be unveiled in the coming year.
ASRA recently updated its mission statement to reflect not only our ongoing commitment to research and education, but also to showcase our growing presence in regulatory advocacy, all of which is to underscore our ultimate goal of improving patient outcomes. After all, patients are why are members are here in the first place. The new mission statement is: “Advancing the science and practice of regional anesthesia and pain medicine to improve patient outcomes through research, education and advocacy.”
