A letter from an academic anesthesiologist to our colleagues in private practice:
If you currently do not work in an academic setting, this letter is for you.
I am one of the former FAER awardees who owes a huge amount of gratitude to FAER for helping to launch his career. If I talk to other academic anesthesiologists why FAER grants are so important for developing young careers, I see many nodding heads and most already know. Kind of preaching to the choir. But do you know? Do you know why FAER grants make all the difference for someone like me?
