“Where are you?” If you have been a child, a parent, a loved one, we have each uttered these three words at some time in our lives. These words can simply be asking for a location, but sometimes they can have a greater meaning.
Let’s use this phrase as with a friend, taking this simple inquiry and making it relevant to today’s anesthesiologists. Where are you … in your career, in your work environment, in your professionalism and in your happiness?
As a reader of the ASA Monitor, you should be asking why ASA would care about the above list and, more important, what ASA can do about this list.
